Marina Popleteeva

Dr. Marina Popleteeva (Repich) is currently extending her expertise in biology at the University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg). Previously she was a research associate at the Department of Oncology - Hutchison/MRC Research Centre, University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). Her research interests focus in the area of computational modelling, analysis of biophysical proceses and time-domain fluorescence microscopy.

She received her Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Trento (Italy) in 2010, with the thesis "Development of a simulation environment for the analysis and the optimal design of fluorescence detectors based on single photon avalanche diodes". In 2005 she received a M.Sc. in Physical Electronics from the Belarusian State University (BSU) (Belarus) and the BSc degree (with honors) in Physical Electronics from the same university in 2004, with a thesis on simulation of energy transfer processes in molecular systems.
